Jake Meyers '15 Lives Shark Week

The great white shark may keep most people out of the water in Gansbaai, South Africa, but for Jake Meyers ‘15, it's just a good excuse to hop right in! Through the Magellan Project, Jake has spent weeks researching great whites and learning more about shark conservation efforts.

One afternoon, he spent six hours in a nine meter boat tracking a 4.5 meter great white. All he could think about was that famous scene in Jaws where Brody says, "We're going to need a bigger boat."
