George & Tom's New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year from George & Tom!

To help you kick off 2012 right, George and Tom have created a helpful W&J resolution list for you!

    1. Mentor a Student - The Alumni Mentor Program has more than 100 pairings. A mentor can be any alumnus/a of W&J who is willing to put in their time to get to know a W&J student. The program is a great way to  learn about W&J today and make a difference in the lives of our students.

If you are interested in getting involved but aren't sure you have the time available to dedicate to a protege, visit the Office of Career Services' College Central page.
Through College Central, alumni can register as career mentors or to provide job shadowing experiences. Usually these are just one-time contacts from students to alumni and involve answering career or graduate school-specific advice.

    2. Attend an Event - The Office of Alumni Relations is hosting events all over the country in the upcoming months. Alumni events are a great way to meet and network with alumni in your area.
Live in an area the College isn't visiting this year? Plan your own Alumni Event in a Box! The Office of Alumni Relations will assist you in planning, promoting and decorating your event.

    3. Wear Red & Black -  Let others know how proud of your Alma Mater and spread W&J spirit in 2012 by wearing your red & black! Need some new gear? Visit the online W&J bookstore for red & black deliveries to your doorstop.

    4. Visit Campus - When was the last time you came home to W&J? Make 2012 your year to visit!
Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2012 is set for October 19-20, 2012! What better time to visit and catch a lecture, the football game, Fifth Quarter and other memorable events!

    5. Make a Gift - W&J relies on the dedicated annual support of its alumni and friends. By giving to the W&J Fund, you have an immediate impact on the College by providing crucial support for the programs related to financial aid, student activities, faculty recruitment, and athletics.

    6. Join W&J Online - With active pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin, W&J makes it easy for you to keep up-to-date on College news and events.  Join your fellow alumni online today to be part of the fun!
