Coach Jim White’s Legacy For over 30 years, Jim White coached a sport during every season of the academic year: football in the fall, wrestling in the winter, and tennis in the spring. In total, Coach White served as the head or assistant coach for 89 different W&J athletic teams.
Over the years, Coach White has been known for many achievements and his passion for W&J Athletics. “He positively impacted generations of student-athletes during his more than 30 years at W&J. His legacy is secure,” said Angelo Morascyzk ’77.
Coach White was truly an impactful figure in W&J Wrestling for four decades, guiding the program to three out of its five PAC championships in 1965, 1966, and 1995.
Coach White was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Washington and Jefferson College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013. To this day, Coach White remains one of the most dedicated employees in W&J history.
