14th Annual Pete Henry Society Golf Outing

The Pete Henry Society and the Washington & Jefferson College athletic department are looking forward to Monday, June 11, at Southpointe Golf Club for the return of our Pete Henry Golf Outing. This tournament has been a featured event during the past 13 years and all are welcome  to join in the fellowship and camaraderie.

As in the past, the proceeds from the outing will benefit the athletic programs; however, this year's efforts are focused to upgrade the athletic training equipment. The ATC staff impacts all of our 24 NCAA Division III varsity teams, working with our student-athletes for injury prevention as well as rehabilitation. W&J’s two full-time athletic trainers work out of three different stadiums during the course of the school year and these facilities and modalities are in need of an upgrade.

It is time to make an effort to give athletic trainers and student-athletes the best opportunity to reach their potential on the fields and courts. Over the years, alumni, friends and corporate sponsors have been incredibly supportive of the golf outing with their participation and willingness to offer contributions that help support the college’s athletic programs.

For a second-straight year, prices are discounted the cost for graduates of the last decade, who are just beginning their careers as a way to involve as many former student-athletes and alumni as possible. By participating in this tournament, you are making a direct impact for the future successes of our student-athletes. This event always provides a fun and exciting day and gives a better understanding of what it takes to field competitive NCAA Division III athletics programs.
